Call Us The NO Crew
Do you have a hard time saying NO to things? I know I do! I always want to have adventures, go on trips and be at the beach haha #realtalk BUT guess what? There is a time for that. You might be in that season where you can do everything you want BUT if you’re like me and you on in work mode to get to your goals and dreams read on.
I feel like every time we get motivated to challenge and stretch ourselves a bit more that someone invites you to go do something? That is what we call a distraction. In this day and age we have so so many distractions. What’s gonna separate the people that wish for things to be better VS the people that make things better for themselves is being focused on what they want to accomplish and learning to say NO even when they want to say yes to whatever that distraction might be. I struggle with saying yes A LOT and then I justify why I said yes like its okay, well guess what….IT’S NOT! If you’re someone who is trying to play big, has huge goals and wants to reach your potential you are going to have to make friends with the word NO! I hated learning about this but at the same time I loved it. I knew saying NO more often to things was going to give me the time I needed to dedicate myself to my work.
I love this quote from Dave Ramsey:
This past week and weekend was awesome. I actually applied what I learned and said NO to more things then ever to stay focused on my goals and on Saturday August 1st all the training I did even though it wasn’t as much as I wanted was able to give me my first PRO Win since I broke my back! I share this because I was able to say NO to so many things but still hit my other goals I had for myself while keeping my priorities in check. YOU can hit your goals, focus on your priorities while having fun and hitting some bonus goals on the way, just learn to say NO to the things that won’t help you get to where you want to go.
I know this isn’t the funnest thing to do, to say NO to certain things but it’s gonna be worth it so we can and will do this. Join the NO crew and stay focused on what you want.
Stay awesome, be blessed and keep bettering your best!!
